Regina Daniels tearfully mourns late colleague, Junior Pope as she reveals his biggest comfort

Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels has finally mourned her colleague, Junior Pope.

Kemi Filani reported on Wednesday, last week that Junior Pope had died after drowning while returning from a movie location with his colleagues in a boat at Anam River in Anambra State. The actor was said to have woken up briefly and was taken to the Water Shrine for some cleansing after which he was taken to the hospital, where he eventually gave up.

His unfortunate death had left many dragging Adanma Luke, holding her responsible for the death of Junior Pope.

Taking to her Instagram page, Regina Daniels shared a collage of video of her and the actor on a movie set, a video of him with his family, and of her and his event planner wife.

She stated that the late actor’s nugget comfort would be that he left a world filled with love and support for the ones closest to his heart.

“Bros Jay’s biggest comfort will be that he left a world filled with love and support for the ones closest to his heart”.

Recall that after his demise, Ruth Kadiri had appreciated her Regina Daniels, her mother Rita Daniels, the President of AGN, Emeka Rollas, and others as she recalled how they tried all their means to save Junior Pope’s life.

Many of their colleagues had taken to their Instagram pages to mourn them, while some apportioned blame on Adanma Luke.

Ini Edo slammed the poor structure of the industry that has taken a toll on them as she lamented how the actor’s death was a sacrifice for the realization of the need for the much-needed regulation and structure that would safeguard an entire production.

Sarah Martins had dragged Adanma, noting how her recklessness had cost her the lives of people. Doris Ogala had also dragged Adanma, calling for her arrest as she slammed the President of AGN for allegedly protecting her.

Speaking out, The Actors Guild of Nigeria released a public statement, banning actors and actresses from starring in Adanma Luke’s movies till further notice. Her movie, which claimed the life of Junior Pope and crew members has been suspended indefinitely.

Yvonne Jegede noted how his death could have been avoided if only he had worn a life jacket or if Nollywood producers had done better.

Breaking her silence, Adanma Luke clarified that contrary to reports, she had provided life jackets for them. She revealed that the unfortunate incident still feels like a dream to her, which she hopes she can wake up from.

She disclosed that she had been left traumatized over the ordeal and blamed herself for returning to Asaba as she was supposed to be on that boat with them and her brother’s 2 kids.
